I rented a mid-size (Corolla) and was disappointed when I got to the front desk that that equated to a Kia (compact in my opinion). Long story short, for $10/day, they upgraded me to a suv (more room and surprisingly 7 seats!). This worked out very well as I was able to shuttle the volleyball team/parents in and around Spokane. In the end, it worked out great and I'm satisfied. What could have been better? Clearer signs for CAR RENTAL returns coming into the airport. Was "lost" and finally decided to go close to where I rented the car (and not the long term parking area) and that's where I again picked up/saw the Returns line. Very confusing if not from the area!!!

We needed to drop off our car 2 1/2 hours later than originally booked (2:30pm instead of noon). We called ahead for the okay, and were still charged $138 more. $138 for less than 3 hours????? I am a fast break member and have been ignored in the fast break line the last 2 times I have been in line waiting to get a car. Goodbye Budget, your once loyal customer who recommended you to others is moving on and will tell everyone else not to use budget.

I was told my vehicle was a 12 passenger van, even though I was by myself. I said I did not not want a van and they said this was the "surprise vehicle". I had to pay extra to downsize to a smaller vehicle. Not right.

I really like Avis. Regular renter. Spokane office was kind to call me in advance of my rental and to accept my request for a Prius. Upon pickup, car had only been returned by prior renter a short period prior to my arrival. We waited 30 minutes and car was still not ready. We HAD to go, so I agreed to accept car dirty. Prior renters had had several scraps along car sides, left car filthy and seats water stained and interior windows filthy. I worried about drop off. I was just glad to get a Prius. Drop off in one way Corvallis, Oregon was excellent.
